1861: Weber Samoa Consul for Hamburg and the Norddeutscher Bund.

From 1861 Weber had acted as Consul for Hamburg and the Norddeutscher Bund. Weber was the first Imperial German Consul, appointed in 1870. From 1861 he had acted as Consul for Hamburg and the Norddeutscher Bund. He held office until 1872, and from 1875 until 1880, when he was succeeded by Captain Zembsch .History of Samoa – R.M. Watson
